Following Giorgio Germont in La traviata at the Royal Opera House in London, Luca Salsi will be facing another important role by Giuseppe Verdi: the Doge in I due Foscari, on stage at the Teatro alla Scala from the 15th to the 25th of March. It is not a new role for Salsi, who has already performed it in Trieste in 2011 and at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma under the baton of Riccardo Muti in 2013.

This new stage production is realised by Alvis Hermanis.

Michele Mariotti will be conducting. Together with Salsi, Francesco Meli will be singing Jacopo Foscari and Anna Pirozzi the role of Lucrezia Contarini.
